This training is dedicated to my grandparents; Robert and Elizabeth Peltier and David and Josephine Lewis, who were forced to attend the Spanish Residential School; to my father in-law Ricky Pitawanakwat who was forced to attend the Spanish Residential School; and to my parents; Glen and Regina Lewis, who were forced to attend the Wikwemikong Indian Day School.
This training is dedicated to my beautiful wife and soulmate Samara Lewis; your enduring love and support mean the world to me, and to my two amazing children and the loves of my life Kirsten Lewis and Sarah Lewis; you two are my reason for living and why I want to make the world a better place. My life’s work is creating a better world for both of you and for all Indigenous children and Peoples.
This training is dedicated to all the innocent Indigenous children that were forced to attend the residential schools, the Indian day schools, and the Indian hospitals, and to the innocent Indigenous children who were stolen from their communities in the sixties scoop, and to the innocent Indigenous children who are still being taken to this very day in the millennium scoop and to the families and friends of the missing and murdered Indigenous women and girl who are still suffering from the loss of their loved ones.
Finally, this training is dedicated to the future positive changes I wish to see for First Nations Peoples. It is my goal to see Canadians and global citizens working for the liberation of First Nations Peoples in Canada. Canadians and people all over the world will finally know the truth about the continuing subjugation and persecution of First Nations Peoples in Canada.
Canadians and global citizens can take action to ensure that First Nations Peoples will finally get a chance to heal and to go from merely surviving to truly living and thriving.
